Overview
MusicEdNow Listening is a browser-based educational tool for creating listening exercises. This privacy notice describes how Version 1 of the service works.
Accounts and generated exercises
Version 1 does not currently require a MusicEdNow account. MusicEdNow does not currently provide a database for saving your generated questions, musical-feature selections, or completed worksheets.
Uploaded audio
Audio files selected through the Upload Audio option are used for playback in your browser. In Version 1, those audio files are not uploaded to a MusicEdNow server. Do not upload material that you do not have permission to use.
YouTube
If you choose the YouTube option, the application uses YouTube’s embedded player. Your browser therefore communicates with YouTube/Google when that feature is used. Use of YouTube is also subject to Google’s and YouTube’s applicable terms and privacy policies.
Hosting and technical data
MusicEdNow Listening is delivered using Cloudflare infrastructure. As with normal web hosting, Cloudflare may process technical request information needed to deliver, secure, and operate the service.
Feedback
The MusicEdNow Listening feedback form is intentionally configured not to collect respondents’ email addresses. Please do not enter your name, school name, student information, email address, or other personal information in free-text feedback responses.
Children and student information
The tool is designed for educators. Teachers should not enter student personal information into the application or feedback form.
Changes to this notice
MusicEdNow Listening may continue to develop and its features may change. This notice will be updated if the way the service handles information materially changes.
Questions about privacy can be sent through the MusicEdNow contact channels.
